Neia | Watch is a personalized film and TV discovery service offered by Burak Balcı under the Neia brand.
Neia is currently a brand/product name only, not a separate company or legal entity. The service is currently operated by Burak Balcı.

Technical information necessary for the security, operation and error detection of the application may be processed.
In the current version of Neia | Watch, the optional application-analytics data-collection feature is not active. If optional analytics data collection is enabled in the future, the relevant notices and user preferences will be updated to match the actual data-processing activity.
Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
Personal data is collected electronically through the creation of an account on the Neia | Watch application, responses given during onboarding, the user's interactions within the application, viewing and rating preferences, use of AI Search, social features, event and invitation features, and technical records automatically generated during use of the application.
Depending on the nature of the data and the relevant feature, this data may be processed by automatic or partially automatic means.
Processing of account information, viewing preferences, user content, AI Search actions, AI credits, invitation system records and other data necessary to provide Neia | Watch's core functions may be based on the legal ground of being directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract within the scope of establishing and maintaining the service relationship.
Operations to ensure service security, prevent abuse, fake accounts or manipulation of the referral system, and protect system integrity may be carried out under the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided they do not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.
Personal data necessary to fulfil legal obligations or to establish, exercise or protect a right may be processed on the basis of the relevant KVKK processing conditions.
Marketing and product communications rely on the user's explicit consent in cases where explicit consent is required. The user may withdraw this consent at any time.
Withdrawal of explicit consent does not affect the lawfulness of data-processing activities carried out before the withdrawal.
Neia | Watch separates third-party services into content providers and services that process user data. For each service below, it is indicated whether Neia | Watch user data is transferred.
TMDB
TMDB is used within Neia | Watch to provide film and TV metadata, posters, cast and production information and to match content.
In the current version, Neia | Watch does not send to TMDB user profile, name, email address, user identifier, watch history, ratings, watchlist information or user preferences.
Only titles, content identifiers and similar metadata queries necessary for film, TV, person or content matching may be sent to TMDB.
OpenAI
Neia | Watch uses OpenAI services to provide AI-powered search, personalized film descriptions and recommendation features.
Depending on the feature used, the following information may be sent to OpenAI:
Neia | Watch does not send the user's name, email address or Neia | Watch account identifier to OpenAI within the scope of these operations.
Only the information necessary for the relevant AI feature to function is transferred to OpenAI.
Wikidata
Neia | Watch may use Wikidata to query film award and nomination data via the IMDb identifier.
Only the IMDb identifier (e.g. tt0...) is sent to Wikidata; Neia | Watch user data, email, user identifier, watch history or user preferences are not sent to Wikidata.
Map and Geocoding Services
Neia | Watch may use map and geocoding services such as OpenStreetMap/Nominatim or Google Maps in event features to convert addresses entered or selected by the user into coordinates.
In the current version, Neia | Watch does not automatically collect precise GPS location from the user's device.
Base44 — Authentication, Hosting and Database
Neia | Watch's authentication (session/token), account, application data and database infrastructure run on the Base44 platform. The user account and all Neia | Watch application data associated with the user are stored in the database hosted by Base44.
TMDB and Wikidata receive only content/metadata queries; no Neia | Watch user data is sent. OpenAI and Base44 are services that process Neia | Watch user data. Neia | Watch does not sell personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.
Servers or data-processing operations of some technology and infrastructure services used within the scope of Neia | Watch may be located outside Turkey.
Accordingly, depending on the nature of the service used, some personal data may be processed by overseas service providers. OpenAI and Base44 may be within this scope.
In cases where international data transfer is required, the conditions and obligations set out by applicable personal-data-protection legislation are taken into account.
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide Neia | Watch services or for the period required by applicable legislation.
Active application records associated with the user that are not legally or technically required to be retained are removed as part of the account deletion process. Account deletion covers, in addition to application data, the identity/authentication record on the Base44 platform.
After deletion, some data may remain within the scope of the Base44 infrastructure's standard backup cycle for a limited time and may be deleted when the relevant backup cycle is completed.
Users may exercise their rights regarding their personal data under applicable KVKK. The following actions can be performed directly within Neia | Watch:
Download My Data
Profile → Consent & Data → Download My Data. The user may obtain a copy of the Neia | Watch account data associated with them.
Delete My Account
Profile → Delete My Account. The account deletion process can be initiated from within the application. As a result of the deletion process, the following that are not legally required to be retained are deleted or anonymized: Profile, watch history, Watchlist, ratings, lists, user actions, social relationships, other personal data associated with the user account and the Neia | Watch identity/authentication record.
Change marketing preference
Profile → Consent & Data → Marketing Communications. Marketing consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Neia | Watch uses technical technologies necessary for session management, security and core application functions.
In the current version of Neia | Watch, no data is collected through optional analytics or similar tracking technologies. If such technologies are enabled in the future, the relevant notices and user preferences will be updated to match the actual data-processing activity.
Neia | Watch applies reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or loss.
This Privacy Policy may be updated in line with changes in the service or legislation. Material changes may be communicated to users within the application when necessary.
